Purchasing Information

As I receive several emails inquiring information that has already been posted on my site I kindly ask that you read this section very carefully prior to contacting me. This saves us both lots of time at our computer screens and more time with those we love :)

All of my puppies are sold on a spay/neuter contract unless other arrangements are discussed with me prior to your puppy purchase. All of the puppy's CKC papers will be issued only after the spay/neuter is completed and a copy of the certificate is forwarded to me. In terms of the Chihuahuas, the spay/neuter will be completed prior to the puppy going to his/her forever home and the cost of this procedure will be the responsibility of the new parents (i.e. you). This is a condition of the sale and the sale will not be considered complete until these conditions are met. This is my way of helping to curb the increase of puppy mills and designer dogs. No exceptions.

A $250.00 non-refundable, non-transferable deposit will be required to hold the puppy of your choice until he/she is able to go home with you. Payment in full is required two weeks prior to shipping or pickup of your new family member unless you will be paying the balance in cash at the time of pickup. A $50.00 deposit is required to be placed on a waiting list for upcoming litters. It is non-transferable and non-refundable but will be applied to the purchase of the puppy. I have found it necessary to implement this as to help ensure people are not reserving a space for a puppy they are not fully committed to purchasing. When this occurs it unfortunately takes the space away from those who are genuinely wanting to wait for their puppy. Having said that, if you choose to be added to the wait list you will be given a choice of the puppy's sex but, due to the fact that litters can be diverse in colour, we do not guarantee colour choices. We will do our very best to help you with this decision, and you will have your choice of colour when your position is reached on the wait list, but we cannot return wait list deposits based on colour alone.
Payment plans are available to approved homes but the puppy must be paid in full prior to leaving for its forever home.

I reserve the right to refuse the sale of a puppy to any person and for any reason I deem fit. All perspective buyers are screened carefully to help ensure that my puppies go to wonderful new forever homes. We only want the very best for our dogs and that includes their babies.

I reserve the right of first refusal in the event that any puppy produced by Sierrakruize needs to be re-homed for any reason ( this encompasses the life of the dog). This helps to ensure our dogs will continue to be in the best care possible, even if that unfortunately, is no longer with you.

All puppies come with a two year guarantee against fatal hereditary conditions. Luxating patella’s (not fatal and preventable in most cases) and any disease or condition brought on or aggravated by improper diet or care are not covered. If you would like information on how to prevent these I am more than happy to share information with you in regards to diet, exercise, and proper puppy care. This warranty is void if the buyer cannot prove that the puppy has received all necessary vaccinations and yearly veterinary checkups and care. Hypoglycemia is not covered as this is a dietary condition brought on by improper feeding and care in a young puppy. Information about this condition is included in all puppy packs. Because no chihuahua puppy leaves Sierrakruize until they are 12 weeks of age, this condition should not be a problem.

Sierrakruize reserves the right of first pick(s) of any litter. I am still developing my lines so a select few will be reserved for showing and breeding. My goal is to consistently produce 4-6lb Chihuahua's who have championship potential.

All puppies come with age appropriate shots, worming, microchip, 2 year health guarantee in writing (Chihuahuas only), CKC registration, puppy pack consisting of toy, blanket, some food and lifetime support from me. Six weeks of free health insurance is also included as long as it is available through the CKC.

If your puppy is to be shipped, you will be responsible for all costs associated with shipping. This will fluctuate according to airline and distance traveled but a good estimate is approx. $200.00.

All puppies will be posted on my site as they become available. Occasionally I will have an older puppy or young dog available for various reasons so please contact me to inquire as they may not be posted.

If you are still interested in a Sierrakruize puppy let me know and I will be happy to send you a questionnaire.
